Safeword Improv

Safeword is an improv troupe in Baltimore, MD, founded in March 2007 for the Washington Improv Theater’s Fighting Improv Smackdown Tournament (FIST), an improv tournament that pits teams of 3 against each other in 15 minute matches. After winning its first two matches, Safeword lost a close one and returned home to Baltimore.

Since the tournament, the gang decided to stick together and keep doing shows, performing in May 2008 with the Baltimore Improv Group and in July 2008 at the Baltimore Improv Festival.
